Black History Caroling Is Back…

Join us on February 24th for our Q1 “GO! Sunday”

Black History Caroling is a tribute to Black American culture, specifically, Black American music.  The Black experience in this nation has been one of trial and triumph.  And through it all, we sustained ourselves with the power of undying faith and incredible songs.  Black History Caroling aims to infuse today's Black community with the power of hope and faith that is carried in the spirit and words of traditional Black music.

It is not unlike the more familiar activity of "Christmas Caroling".  We all go out together in a group to sing simple and familiar songs to people in public that we probably don't know.  But, instead of spreading Christmas cheer, we'll be spreading a faith and hope that is deeply rooted in our culture...the faith in Christ that has kept us so well and will continue to keep us on into the future.

It will be impactful.  It will be inspirational.  It will be a lot of FUN!

Don't miss this moment!

  3. You can help to GROW the size and scope of our movement to wrap our arms around Chicago and love the city to life in Christ.

WHY ARE WE CALLED “CHICAGO EMBASSY”?

The Bible calls people who are committed to coming alongside the people in their community and city with the love and truth of Jesus Christ “Ambassadors” (2 Corinthians 5:20). We are totally committed to doing just that - coming alongside the city of Chicago with love and truth. That makes us Ambassadors and the headquarters for a group of Ambassadors on a diplomatic mission is called an “Embassy”.

What is the GatherinG Like?

At The Gathering, you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with impactful worship music. There is a screen that will display the lyrics to the songs and scriptures so that you’ll be able to keep up with everything. Our pastor will give a sermon that will help you spiritually and practically in life. Children are cared for in a loving and fun-filled environment. The Gathering is usually between 1.5 to 2 hours.

What will happen when i visit for the first time?

If you are visiting, we will not embarrass you by having you stand up or anything else high pressure. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for a while—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the atmosphere, and get something for your life. If you would like us to contact you or if you’d like more information you can fill out a “Connect Card” which our host/hostess team will make available to you.

What should I wear?

You’ll find everything from jeans and Ts to dress shirts and skirts in our multi-generational Gathering. Come in what is comfortable for you, because Chicago Embassy Church is not about what you look like or what you wear, but what God has designed you to be.

What About my children?

At Chicago Embassy Church, our pastor has 4 young children (1, 3, 5, and 7). Needless to say, children are a top priority. Our facility is clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. We offer a dynamic children’s ministry during the Gathering for children ages 2 to 11. We also have a Cry Room/Nursery where parents can tend to smaller children and still keep up with what is going on in the main chapel via live stream on our screen.

2019 is going to be a BREAKOUT year at Chicago Embassy Church. We are prepared to walk into the fulness of the vision that God has given us to wrap our arms around Chicago and love the city to life in Christ. Members, family, and friends…this is the best time to partner with us!

The Vision Fund at Chicago Embassy Church is the fund that supports the general operations of the church. The Vision Fund pledge is a combined projection of the tithes and offerings that each giving unit expects to give in the calendar year. Vision Fund pledges allow the church leadership to adjust the annual budget to fit within projected annual receipts.

Project 500 is a 3-year campaign to equip, release, and support 500 ambassadors for the Kingdom of God into the city of Chicago by December 31, 2021. CEC will be training individuals to connect with their purpose, helping them connect with skill development, and supporting Kingdom work across all the spheres of influence (Arts & Media, Business, Church, Science & Academia, Education, Family, and Government). Campaign pledges will help support the campaign and the leaders developed through the effort.
